AssetScope ("the App") provides image optimization services to merchants who use Shopify. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

The App accesses your store's "Files" and "Products" data solely for the purpose of identifying image file sizes and formats. We collect:

• File metadata (size, format, dimensions)
• Image URLs for processing
• Basic store information required for Shopify API access

We do not collect, store, or access customer data, order information, or any personally identifiable information about your customers.

2. How Information is Used

The information we collect is used exclusively to:

• Analyze file sizes and identify large PNG images
• Convert PNG images to optimized JPG format
• Generate optimization reports and recommendations
• Provide image processing services within your Shopify admin

3. Data Retention

We do not permanently store your store data or image files. All processing occurs in real-time:

• Image files are processed temporarily and discarded immediately after conversion
• File metadata is used only during the scanning session
• No store data is retained between sessions

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process:

• All data transmission occurs over secure HTTPS connections
• Images are processed server-side and not stored permanently
• Access to Shopify APIs follows their security protocols

5. Third-Party Services

AssetScope operates entirely within the Shopify ecosystem and does not share data with third-party services. All image processing occurs using Shopify's official APIs and infrastructure.
