Reformat every product image to a consistent size —
in one batch.
Mismatched image ratios make even great products look amateur. Bulk Image Lab reformats your entire catalogue to a single canvas size — 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, or custom — adding padding and a background colour where needed, and backing up every original before it touches a pixel.

Inconsistent image ratios make your store look inconsistent — and cost you sales on every marketplace
Every Shopify store ends up with the same problem: images uploaded at wildly different sizes. Supplier images at 3:4. Phone photos at 4:3. Banner crops at 16:9. The result is a storefront that looks ragged on collection pages and fails marketplace image requirements on Amazon, Google Shopping, and Meta Shops. The old fix — opening Photoshop or Canva for every product, manually adding a white canvas, exporting, re-uploading — takes hours per hundred products and needs repeating every time a supplier sends new imagery. AssetScope’s Bulk Image Lab automates the entire process in a single operation.
Three steps from install to first fix.
Scan your images
Run the pre-flight scan to see every product image in your catalogue flagged by its current aspect ratio. Bulk Image Lab shows you exactly which images are non-compliant and which products are already the right shape — so you know the scope before you start.
Choose ratio & settings
Select your target canvas ratio — 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, or a custom ratio — then set your padding amount and background colour. Preview the output on a sample image before committing, so you know exactly what the reformatted images will look like.
Apply in batch
Select the products or collections to process and click Apply. AssetScope reformats every image to your chosen canvas, backs up the originals, and uploads the new versions directly to Shopify. Your storefront and marketplace listings update automatically.
Everything in the tool.
Four canvas ratios
Choose from the four most common aspect ratios: 1:1 (square) for Shopify storefronts and Instagram, 4:5 for Facebook and Pinterest, 16:9 for banners and YouTube thumbnails, or enter a fully custom ratio. Every image is reformatted to the same canvas in one pass.
Padding & background colour
Images that don’t match the target ratio get padding added rather than being cropped or stretched. Choose any hex background colour — white for clean storefronts, light grey for marketplace neutrality, or your brand colour for consistency.
Automatic originals backup
Before any image is reformatted, AssetScope backs up the original. You can restore any or all originals at any time from the Bulk Image Lab dashboard — so you can experiment with ratios freely, knowing your originals are safe.
True bulk processing
Select all products or filter by collection, vendor, or tag and process every matching image in a single operation. No opening products one by one. No downloading and re-uploading. AssetScope handles the whole batch via the Shopify API.
Marketplace-ready output
Amazon, Google Shopping, Meta Shops, and most comparison engines each have image ratio requirements. Bulk Image Lab lets you create a marketplace-ready version of your catalogue — 1:1 for Amazon, 4:5 for Meta — without permanently altering your live storefront images.
Pre-flight ratio scan
Before you commit to a batch reformat, run a scan to see every product image flagged by its current ratio. You’ll know exactly how many images need reformatting and which products are already compliant — so you only process what needs work.
