10 industry schemas
Each schema maps to a Shopify Standard Product Taxonomy category and generates the correct variant dimensions: Size × Color for Apparel, Storage × Finish for Tech, Metal × Stone for Jewelry, and so on. Every product is taxonomy-correct out of the box.
Agentic-ready descriptions
Every product gets 2–3 paragraphs of spec-heavy structured prose. In 2026, Shopify’s AI discovery agents rely on this “Structured Prose” to surface products to buyers. Your dummy data tests that pipeline end-to-end.
Category metafields
Industry-specific metafields are written to the custom namespace on every generated product — fabric and fit_type for Apparel, battery_life and connectivity for Tech, carat and certified_by for Jewelry.
Up to 2,048 variants
The generator uses productVariantsBulkCreate to support Shopify’s 2026 variant limit of 2,048. The built-in Stress Test creates a single product with exactly 2,048 variants to validate how your frontend handles extreme catalogue entries.
Real images, zero cost
Each product gets 3–5 high-resolution images sourced from Picsum Photos. Seeded by product index so images are deterministic across runs — the same product always gets the same images, making visual regression testing reliable.
One-click nuke
Every generated product is tagged dev-dummy-data. The Nuke function finds all tagged products and deletes them in one operation — leaving your dev store exactly as it was before you ran the generator.
